Newsflash

In what is a model that should be adopted by the other 49 States in the United States, Iowa has a law that requires a presumptive shared parenting of 50/50 in all divorces.  Demonstrating its committment to Iowa families, this bill was passed in 2006.  Iowa is certainly protecting America's Heartland!

Loving Dad with his daughter

We are dedicated to the development of presumptive shared parenting laws in all 50 States in the United States.  It is our belief that children deserve the love and dedication of both of their natural parents, and that the preservation of the parent-child bond is equally as important as the financial support of the child.

Children deserve to live in a household that meets all of their daily requirements.  This can only be met when all of their daily needs are met.  One can say that a child is half of each parent, yet we accept that it is okay for a child to be raised by only one parent.  We believe this only allows a child to be half of what they are capable of.

When a child is physically abused, there is no doubt that it is mental abuse is a part of the act.  In fact, many experts agree, the mental abuse far outweighs the physical abuse as it can create lasting effects that can stay with a child for a lifetime.  To deny a child access to a parent is a significant and devestating blow to a child.  To destroy the parent-child bond can be much more devestating than physical abuse.  We believe it is another form of child abuse, one that will leave scars with the child for a lifetime.

It is time to stop all abuse of children.  It's time to allow children to have natural, loving and committed relationships with both natural parents by enacting laws that protect children from predatory practices by parents whos only attempt is to deny visitation between a parent and child.  It's time to call them what they are - Child Abusers.  It's time to enact Presumptive Shared Parenting Laws in all 50 States!
